We would like to remind you that the deadline to submit comments on the second draft of Creating the Future, a 2020 Vision and Plan for Library Services in New York State: Preliminary Recommendations of the New York State Regents Advisory Council on Libraries to the New York State Board of Regents is February 15, 2012. Comments will inform the development of the final plan which the Regents Advisory Council on Libraries will present to the New York State Board of Regents in April, 2012.
We encourage organizations to assist the Regents Advisory Council on Libraries in soliciting broad feedback by posting a downloadable widget to their websites, which will lead individuals to the new draft document and provide them with an opportunity to submit improvement suggestions by email. The widget is now available at: http://www.nysl.nysed.gov/libdev/adviscns/rac/2020v2/links.htm. Comments from organizations and individuals can also be sent directly to NYSLRegComments@MAIL.NYSED.GOV.
