Jennifer Rosvally and Dr. Shura Saul, co-authors and mother/daughter team, will share insights about the concerns and joys in relationships between adult daughters and their older mothers. Their book, Mother Daughter Duets: Relationships in Counterpoint, is a compilation of interviews from women of all ages, sharing their relationship stories.
Mystery author Elizabeth Zelvin will be discussing her book, Death Will Get You Sober, at the Port Chester-Rye Brook Public Library on Monday, October 27, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. Copies of her book are available at the library Circulation Desk. The event is free and light refreshments will be served. Registration is recommended but not required.
Dobbs Ferry resident Tim W. Brown will read from his new novel, Walking Man, which is a fictional biography in the vein of the 'mockumentary' movies "Best in Show" and "This is Spinal Tap." It tells the story of an obscure writer whose fateful accident with a BMW makes him famous and known as an advocate of pedestrian rights.
Award-winning photographers Anna and Scott Cooper will present a slide show of their trip to Italy. See the breathtaking baroque "Il Duomo" cathedral in Milan; the hill country of Florence and Tuscany. Visit Venice at "Carnavale:" the cathedrals, the gondolas, the canals and outer islands and above all, the unbelievably exquisite and spectacular costumes.
M&M Productions Acting Company will present Rosie the Riveter , written and directed by Adriana Rogers, at the Irvington Public Library on Saturday, October 18 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
