Health Advocacy Resource Center for Seniors

Health Advocacy Resource Centers are located at the Yonkers Public Library-Grinton I. Will Branch and the John C. Hart Memorial Library in Shrub Oak. The goal of HARC is to empower older adults with information, resources and practical techniques to get the care they need by becoming an informed health care consumer.

Our Resource Center counselors can help you find information to your questions about:

  • Your health insurance coverage
  • Medicare and Medicare Part D
  • Your prescription drugs
  • Questions for your doctor
  • How to find a doctor
  • Illness and disease questions

The Resource Center is open during library hours and counselors will be available to assist you at:

YONKERS PUBLIC LIBRARY JOHN C. HART MEMORIAL LIBRARY
Mondays: 10 am - 1 pm
Tuesdays: 10 am - 1 pm
Thursdays: 10 am - 1 pm
Tuesdays: 10 am - 1 pm
Wednesdays: 10 am - 1 pm

The HARC is a partnership amoung the Westchester Library System, the Medicare Rights Center, and Sarah Lawrence College with funding from Westchester County's Department of Senior Programs and Services.
