The Back Roads: The Watercolor Art of Scott Sager

02/22/2010 - 10:00am
03/26/2010 - 2:59pm

The Greenburgh Public Library presents an exhibit of original watercolor artworks by Westchester artist, Scott Sager. The exhibit will open in the Howard and Ruth Jacobs Family Gallery at the Greenburgh Public Library on February 22, 2010, and will continue through March 26, 2010. The exhibit will be open during normal Library hours.

Mr. Sager’s favorite subject matter is of the beautiful New England that he grew up in and also upstate New York. His desire is to not abstract the natural beauty in any way, but to try and capture it in as natural and believable way as possible.

“I love finding the unexpected subject matter and then proceed to recreate it with the true lighting of that moment, whether it is sun or fog”, said Mr. Sager. “The viewer can then silently nod from their own personal experiences of that area and say to themselves, ‘Yeah, that’s what it’s like there’”.

Scott Sager lives in Westchester County.
Exhibit dates: February 22, 2010 through March 26, 2010
Free and open to the public.
